Over the past twenty years, Seth has represented numerous US based companies, private equity and investment funds, and trade associations in front of governmental and regulatory bodies at the local, state and federal level in the United States, as well as within the European Union and its various member states. Splitting his time between the US and Europe for nearly a decade, Seth has established long standing relationships with policy makers, stakeholders and thought leaders within the complex European governmental and regulatory framework. He understands these institutions and how they operate, and clients continuously rely on Seth’s strategic and tactical advice to help solve their problems within the US and European theaters of policy and government. Representative engagements include legal and advocacy work surrounding the passage and implementation of the Renewable Energy Directives I and II at the EU level (including designing and implementing strategies for engagement and advocacy with the European Commission, European Council and European Parliament) and implementation of member state level regulation in the United Kingdom, the Netherlands, Denmark and Belgium (including working closely with policy makers and regulators within each member state to ensure that US based products are compliant with EU and member state regulation). Seth has also lead various industry efforts to help assist clients in clearing competition approvals within the EU. Additionally, Seth has extensive experience in advising US based clients on market penetration and development within the EU and its member states.
As a practicing attorney, Seth brings a unique skill set to the table that enables his clients to navigate the various legal, political and policy issues that often intersect in the international trade arena.
Seth holds an undergraduate degree from Virginia Tech, a Juris Doctorate degree from the University of Richmond School of Law and is a Fellow of the University of Virginia’s Sorensen Institute for Political Leadership. He is a former Senior Assistant Attorney General and Section Chief of Commerce and Financial Law for the Commonwealth of Virginia and is currently a shareholder with Hirschler, a US based law firm.

Sara is an attorney with a background in and passion for conservation and economic solutions to public environmental issues. Johnson has previously worked in the environmental compliance office of Patuxent River Naval Air Station on the Chesapeake Bay and as a law clerk with the Department of Justice, Environment and Natural Resources Division in Washington, D.C.
Johnson holds an undergraduate degree in Environmental Studies from the University of Richmond and a Juris Doctorate from the University of Virginia, where she served as the Articles Development Editor of the Virginia Environmental Law Journal. She is licensed to practice law in Virginia and California.
Jessica has over 10 years of experience in policy and government affairs, as well as 6 years of trade association management experience, including direct lobbying in the EU and the US, legislative strategy development, membership recruitment and management, and corporate event management. Jessica previously held appointments in the Virginia Office of the Lieutenant Governor and the Virginia Office of the Governor (2009-2013) working on policies to promote economic development.
Jessica holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from James Madison University (Harrisonburg, VA) and a Master of Public Administration & Public Policy from Virginia Commonwealth University (Richmond, VA). She also holds a post-graduate certificate in Graphic and Digital Design from the Parsons School of Design in New York.
Oliver co-founded LP Brussels has 15 years of experience working in the European Union. Before LP Brussels, he worked for five years as an advisor and head of office to MEP Syed Kamall in the European Parliament.
Oliver works with clients to improve their reputation, increase understanding and ensure that legislative risks are mitigated. He also oversees much of the day to day operations of the company. Over the last 10 years, Oliver has developed and delivered numerous strategic communications campaigns for clients spanning a wide range of policy areas including energy, climate, transport, health, nutrition and digital.
While in the European Parliament, Oliver was involved in the legislative process on a wide range of policy areas at all levels, including committee, plenary and trilogue negotiation. He has worked on two European Parliament campaigns, a UK Parliament campaign, a London mayoral election and local council campaigns. Experienced in media relations, Oliver managed his former MEP’s press, and continues to build clients’ reputation with members of the Brussels press corps.
He is the current chair of the British Conservative Association in Belgium and secretary of the PSI Alliance. For many years he has been involved in the running of UK Football Club in the EU Institutions league and is the current treasurer.

Mark is an expert in EU policy and regulation and has helped major regulators, trade associations, companies, governments and parliaments navigate the EU to protect their interests, raise their profile, enhance their reputation and extend their influence.
Mark was a member of various Parliamentary Committees. He was UK Labour Transport and Tourism Spokesperson from 1995-2004 and was a key architect of a number of EU laws. He was appointed by the British Prime Minister Tony Blair as an advisor to the UK’s Cabinet Office on better regulation and enhancing Britain’s influence in the EU.
As a former legislator, who had first-hand experience of drafting European law through the trilogue and co-decision procedure, he is able to use unique insight and experience to advise clients on how best to influence EU policy and legislation.
Mark studied at the LSE (BSc and MSc Econ) and is a Member of the Court of the University of Kent. In recognition of his success in communications, he was elected a Fellow of the Royal Society of Arts in 2009.
